1 What is the title of the BTEC qualification you are studying?

Thte title of the course is BTEC level 3 creative media production.

2 How long will it take you to complete this qualification?
This qualification will take a whole two years to complete.

3 How many units will you study in total?
we have got seven units to complete for the year.

4 How many of them are mandatory and what does mandatory mean?
three of the units are mandatory and four are not and mandantry means that the unit is compusory.

5 What are the titles of the mandatory units and when (in the year) will you study them?
unit 1- pre-production techniques for the creative media industries
unit 2- communication skills for creative media production
unit 3- research techniques for creative media industries
unit 1 and 2 is going to be done in the first year and unit 3 is going to be done in the second year.

6 What are the main topics of each mandatory unit? 
unit 1

1 Understand requirements for a specific media production

2 Be able to prepare pre-production documentation for a specific media production

we will have to do 4 optional units, but optional means that you dont have to do it.

unit 23- multi camera techniques
unit 29- music video production
unit 27- factual programme production techniques for television
unit 30- advertisement production for television
unit 23 and 29 is going to be done in the first year and unit 27 and 30 is going to be done in the second year.

The personal skills i will be devloping is independance and confidence.
independance to control and look after my work and the confidence to be able to act out. another skill will also be the contribution to ideas for a group or to a class as a whole.

MY QUESTIONS
1 will the course be smooth (no rush) or will there be a lot of changing between subjects?

2 will i be able to miss a lesson due to filming?

1st time using blogger!!

my summer

my main part of summer was going holiday with my dad and my brother, and that was to malaga, nerja in spain. when we arrived it was really hot.

The swimming pool we swim in.



we had our own villa up there so we go there every year, this year there wernt that many people to talk to due to them either being from a different country and not being able to talk much english. it was a lovely holiday though because at night it was cool and not too hot meaning we walk about in shorts even at night also we went out for meals which were really nice like calamari (squid) and chicken stroganoff.

I didnt go to watch any films in spain because i knew i wouldnt be able to understand the language but i did watch a film back in england and that film was diary of a wimpy kid i enjoyed this film because it was very funny and it also included what a child would try and do through the holiday. 

On the pier there were people that were doing art, some of the art was being drawn, some was cartoon and some was just very artistic this art amazed me very much that maybe next year i will have to have a picture drawn of me and my brother.

For music i was in the back of a cab and i was sitting there quietly and listening to the music coming from the radio and i also listened to a variety of music on my dr dre beats by the pool and it was good because i could only hear the music and nothing else the music that i listened to was all about relationships.

The stories in the news were very dramatic in spain when i watched it because when they were talking about a fire they spoke pretty fast and included alot of information instead of a little and when i watched the news back in england they had an uproar about the english marking and that they were very strict compared to other years and this made me think about my overall grade and if i was close to passing or not.

Through out spain there are alot of bill boards which advertised small things like beer and cars and in england the amount of bill boards decreased because advertising wasnt as huge as it is in spain.

In my spare time i was able to watch tv programmes like bull fighting which was very entertaining but is very dangerous at the same time and in england the tv programmes that i watched were the history channel and that was very intresting because it gave you an insight of what happens in history and facts that helps with your knowledge. 
I went on a few websites when i was back in england like fanatasy football to make a football team and on the website there was alot of advertising about sky sports and smaller advertisements.
when i was bored during the holiday i sometimes switched on the radio to listen to music or just to get an update on the news.

This holiday has been full of media when i think about it and i know that media is developing largely and it is an increasing situation with advertising.
